Historical Vilanova

 

The first written references to the population center of Vilanova are from the year 1274, the date on which the Town Charter was granted by King Jaume I. On this route we will reveal the various events of its foundation and its subsequent union with Geltrú. And we will discover what the city was like centuries ago by walking through such emblematic places as the Pont del Nin, where we can see remains of the old wall, Plaça Pau Casals, seat of the town's old town hall, or Carrer Major.
